Our annual reports highlight the organization’s mission and impact and extend gratitude to our volunteers and supporters for donating to the organization. As a tax-exempt organization, we welcome the values of transparency and accountability as part of our ethical obligations and legal compliance. We know financial transparency can help preserve the trust donors will place in our organization with their contributions. We are willing and prepared to disclose our financial information wherever required, upon request, including board members, to allow them to fulfill their fiduciary duty to the organization. To make things easier and demonstrate our commitment to transparency and to view these documents, we will post a link on our website. We will demonstrate our commitment to transparency through honest and clear communications (i. e. images, photographs, and video) with donors about how their donations will be or have been used. We can show our budget size and its sources of support, information about our board composition, programs, and its impact, and donors—protecting the identity of those who wish to remain anonymous. We engage in practices demonstrating accountability and respect for donors’ gifts, including donation acknowledgment, respecting donors’ restrictions on gifts, and providing timely reports to funders (i. e. annual returns IRS Form 990 and the application for tax-exemption).
